The Emily Bag is named after my intern Emily who was with me for 2 semesters, before this collection even existed. She helped me actualize this collection from an idea to a living, fabulous group of bags. She even suggested the barrel bag shape for one of the bags!
With sustainability in mind, this bag is made entirely from reclaimed materials, except the hardware. With a tear-drop modified barrel bag profile, this bag's dainty appearance belies the amount that it can hold.
And, of course, the best part is the neon pink designs on the front and back of the bag, "When There Are Nine" on the front and the scales of justice on the back. This is a quote from the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg when asked, when there will be enough women on the supreme court.
This neon design is highlighted by the rainbow hardware which attaches the strap, the zipper, and the bag feet. The shoulder strap is denim, and the over-the-arm straps are made of half black reclaimed leather and half white reclaimed leather.
Please note: As a handcrafted work of art this bag is perfectly imperfect. Any minor flaws are a natural part of the maker's process.
